Testing

It is important to describe the methodology and tools for the test so that others can repeat what I have done or have some confidence that what I am posting is valid.

I am using the Room EQ Wizard (REW) software as a means of running the tests. It is loaded on an old Dell laptop and uses the internal soundcard as a source for the test tones. I have tried to load the software onto the PC I use for serving music, bit there are some display isses to work out. Once that happens, I'll probably repeat the tests as the music server has a far superior audio system.

For monitoring, I am using a MiniDSP USB microphone. This microphone comes from the factory with a calibration file specific to the serial number so that the response of the mic can be trusted.
